Below we explain how to start up a reverse osmosis unit, with all the details so that you can do it yourself:

  • Turn off the inlet water: To carry out the installation, make sure that the inlet water to the osmosis equipment is closed.
  • Clean the prefilters: Cleaning the prefilters prevents the dirt they come with from the factory from entering the membrane, potentially clogging it completely. To clean, disconnect the tube that carries the water to the membrane and direct it towards a container. Next, turn on the water and let it run until it is clear. Finally, the tube must be connected back to the membrane and the osmosis caps are closed.
  • Fill and clean the tank: Open the water inlet valve and let the tank fill for approximately one hour. After this time, empty it completely by opening the service tap (the one installed in the sink). This process of filling and emptying the tank must be repeated once more and the compact osmosis will be ready for use.

Don't forget that... Once started, it is advisable to carry out regular maintenance on the compact osmosis equipment to ensure its optimal functioning. To do this, it is necessary to change the prefilters, the membrane and the postfilter with certain frequency.
