Pool water effects timer what is it

Pool timer: guarantees automated disconnection of the controlled element

Apparatus for timed disconnection of water effects such as: underwater projectors, waterfalls, massage jets, etc.

In this way, with the installation of this timer function, automatic disconnection of the controlled element is guaranteed, avoiding energy losses caused by unwanted or unnecessary permanent connections.

Different types of pool programmer

How some pool programmers differ from others

As logic indicates, the differences between the different pool water effect timers will depend on the model and brand and the existing accessories; For this reason, different functions will be incorporated and thus we will simply have to program the tool and let it do its job.

How a pool timer works

How the device works for the timed disconnection of water effects

  • To begin with, comment that the timer is operated using a piezoelectric effect button located inside or near the pool.
  • Thus, when the button is pressed, the relay is activated that starts the effect maneuver, thus beginning the timing according to the silk-screened timing scale, which is between 0 and 30 minutes.
  • And in this way, once the time is up, the relay is automatically disconnected.

Pool Timer Features

Set the potentiometer to Manual

Firstly, the timer also allows on/off without timing. To do this, place the potentiometer in the “Manual” position.

The timer LEDs indicate its status:
  • Red Led = Effect disabled
  • Green LED = Effect activated
Additional outputs for lighting LEDs

On the other hand, the terminal has two additional outputs for turning on the button indicator LEDs.

Pool timer general operation

Pool timer OFF regulation:

With the regulation in “OFF”, we will have the timer permanently disconnected. In this position it will not activate the relay output even if the button is pressed.

Timing 0-30 minutes:

With a regulation within the time scale, when the button is pressed, the output relay will be activated and the element to be started will start.
check. At this moment the timing will begin according to the silk-screened time scale.
Once the time is up, the relay is automatically disconnected.
To warn that the programmed time is ending, when there are 10 seconds left until the output is disconnected, the green LED
flashes intermittently.
If the output is activated (relay connected) and the button is pressed again, the timing time will be reset.

Timer in manual

The timer will also allow on/off without timing. To do this, put the potentiometer in the position
"MANUAL".
Each time we act on the button, we will activate or deactivate the element to be controlled.
When there is a power failure, the timer is disconnected. To connect it, you must press the button again.

Pool timer inputs

  • The terminal has an input for the button (terminals 14 and 15). The two red cables of the button must be connected to this input.
  • It also has additional inputs for turning on the LEDs of the buttons.
  • It has an input for the green LED (terminals 10 and 11) and an input for the red LED (terminals 12 and 13).

Important: The connection of the colored cables of the button must be respected.

  • The green wire of the green LED must be connected to terminal 10.
  • On terminal 11 the blue wire of the green LED.
  • At terminal 12 the yellow wire of the red LED
  • And at Terminal 13 the blue wire of the red LED.

Details to correctly install the pool timer

  • First of all, for correct installation, the timing power supply of the projector or any other type of receiver must be protected by a highly sensitive differential switch (10 or 30 mA).
  • This timer has been developed to be used with piezoelectric pushbuttons with a 12V DC power supply and a 5V DC LED diode power supply.
  • Besides, This device must be installed at a minimum distance of 3,5m from the pool.
  • Allows the connection of a maximum of two LED diodes, one red and one green.
  • The use of this device with other types of buttons is TOTALLY PROHIBITED.
  • In addition, the timer indicator LEDs indicate its status. The green LED indicates the effect is activated and the red LED indicates that the
  • effect is disabled.
  • The manufacturer is in no case responsible for the assembly, installation or commissioning of any manipulation.
  • To conclude, indicate that the incorporation of electrical components that have not been carried out in your facilities.
